The Southern Baptist Convention in its one hundredth session wishes to express appreciation to the Baptists of Illinois and especially of the Chicago area for their Christian hospitality.
We wish to express our appreciation to all local committees for many services rendered for our convenience and the success of the Convention.
To the radio, television, and press who have given publicity to the Convention’s proceedings we express our heartfelt gratitude.
We make special note of the courteous and efficient manner in which the police and public transportation facilities of the City of Chicago have handled the requirements of the thousands of messengers attending this Convention. Many employees in the International Amphitheater and hotels, as well as the taxicab drivers, have made “Chicago” synonymous with “courtesy.”
