WHEREAS, Southern Baptists gathered in Dallas, Texas, on June 8-11, 2025, for the 2025 Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting and Pastors’ Conference; and
WHEREAS, This year’s gathering marks the 100th anniversary of both the adoption of the Baptist Faith and Message and the establishment of the Cooperative Program, two foundational elements of Southern Baptist identity and cooperation; and
WHEREAS, We gratefully utilized the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, a facility that has proven more than adequate for the work and fellowship of our Convention; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention, meeting in Dallas, Texas, on June 10-11, 2025, offer heartfelt thanks to God and to all who contributed to making our time in Dallas welcoming, efficient, and fruitful for the work of the Convention; and be it further
RESOLVED, We especially thank Visit Dallas for their guidance and support in helping coordinate the necessary arrangements and promoting the city as a destination for our gathering; and be it further
RESOLVED, We commend the Dallas Baptist Association, the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention, and the Baptist General Convention of Texas for their prayerful preparation, generous cooperation, and faithful service; and be it further
RESOLVED, We affirm and express deep appreciation for the Crossover evangelism efforts that preceded the annual meeting, through which local churches and volunteers shared the gospel with the people of Dallas and demonstrated the heart of Southern Baptist cooperation and mission; and be it further
RESOLVED, We recognize and deeply appreciate the work of countless volunteers from local Southern Baptist churches who have served with joy, energy, and hospitality throughout the week; and be it finally
RESOLVED, We acknowledge the hospitality of the people of Dallas and express our gratitude for the many efforts made by the city to welcome our Convention in 2025.
