WHEREAS, This Convention recognizes the primary importance of Scripture distribution in all forms of missions at home and abroad, and
WHEREAS, We recognize the essential worldwide service of the American Bible Society in its missionary non-profit work of translation, publication and distribution of the Scriptures without note or comment, and
WHEREAS, The American Bible Society today is rendering a special service to the cause of world missions through supplying Scriptures for people in war-torn areas.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That we earnestly urge our churches and our people to make generous contributions to the work of the American Bible Society in order that we may use to the fullest extent the opportunity for world evangelization through Scripture distribution.
