Tanner planted Imago Dei, a church plant that reaches a diverse community with both college students and middle-aged residents.
The church’s mission statement is to live and look like Jesus wherever they live, work, or play. In the last few years, Tanner and Naomi have seen God work over and over again. For example, they met Joe at the gym and invited him to church. Now he is regularly inviting others to worship at Imago Dei with him.
The church has also partnered with other local congregations to address poverty through initiatives like “Feed Omaha,” where they distributed 1,500 bags of food to those in need.
When we give through the Cooperative Program, we help missionaries like Tanner and his family share the gospel with people like Joe and involve them in a disciple-making community of believers.
Pray that God would sustain Tanner and Naomi as they face the consistent demands of ministry and managing a young family.
