Sean leads a new church plant in this vibrant, multi-ethnic community.
Sean was serving as an associate pastor when he sensed God’s called toward church planting. After a 21-day fast and much prayer, Sean and Natalie started Hope Church San Diego in February 2023.
Bordered by seven different cities and home to a mix of socioeconomic backgrounds, La Mesa is a diverse community in need of new churches. The community is a melting pot, with students, low-income families, and affluent residents.
Sean describes the impact of the church as contagious. Jaime and Blanca are a great example of this. They came to the church and took part in its discipleship program and premarital counseling. As they pursued a relationship with Christ, they brought their family to the church. Today, 15 different family members attend the church and are plugged into different ministries.
Our church supports ministries like Jaime and Blanca’s through our giving to the Cooperative Program. Nearly 80 percent of their church are people who have recently come to faith in Jesus.
Pray that God will help the church faithfully disciple these new believers.
