Scotty and Jessica Santiago serve as chaplains through Passion for Prison, ministering to those currently, formerly, or potentially incarcerated. They bring encouragement through Scripture cards, sent on inmates’ birthdays and at Christmas, and share the gospel where others may not go—riding motorcycles inside prisons across Florida.
Jessica says most inmates don’t care about God or church, but many come out to see a motorcycle—and that opens the door to share Christ. Each week, the Santiagos lead a two-hour discipleship-based chapel service focused on spiritual growth.
Once released, inmates are encouraged to stay in touch. “We either attend their church or take them with us,” Jessica says. “That helps us make sure they’re connected to a Christ-centered church and allows us to continue mentoring them.”
Through the Cooperative Program, our church supports chaplains like the Santiagos as they bring the hope of Jesus into prisons and beyond.
Pray the Lord will provide for the Santiagos daily living.
