Olivia Tucker first visited Central Asia on a weeklong vision trip. There, she met “Little S,” a young woman plagued by recurring dreams about Jesus. Tucker’s heart broke for her. “I wanted to be here,” she said, “because I met someone longing to know more about Jesus.”
Later, Tucker returned as a Journeyman with the IMB, joining a farm project near Little S’s village. Her U.S. agricultural experience opened natural doors for connection and gospel conversations.
At first, their chats were brief. But over time, Little S’s spiritual hunger grew. She pushed to study the Bible more, even while secretly questioning Islam and seeking truth with a friend.
Together, they prayed, asking God to show them which words were true. As they read the Bible, their hearts confirmed it—Jesus is the Son of God.
Tucker wept with joy. This was the reason she had come.
Through the Cooperative Program, Southern Baptists send missionaries like Olivia to share Christ in spiritually dark places.
