Nick and Emily Hendren planted Family Church Siloam Springs in a small college town in northwest Arkansas, gathering a congregation that spans generations, from senior adults and empty nesters to young families and college students. One fall, a man named Marcus began attending with many friends and family members, who found a spiritual home at the church. Marcus soon gave his life to the Lord and was baptized, and his entire family, including his two older children and a newborn, began attending with him; the whole family was dedicated to the Lord on Mother’s Day. Marcus also brought his sister, brother and their families into the church community. The Hendrens are especially grateful for opportunities to invest in young adults, whether helping college freshmen navigate independence, supporting a student wrestling with a call to ministry, or providing premarital counseling to an engaged church member, and they see these pivotal moments as some of their most meaningful ministry.
Pray that God will protect Family Church’s unity and provide for a new building on the congregation’s newly acquired property.
Southern Baptists’ generous giving through the Cooperative Program sends and sustains missionaries like Nick and Emily Hendren to plant churches that reach college students and families in Siloam Springs.
