When Morgan Walker surrendered her life to Jesus, she knew little about missions but felt a call to follow Him and share the gospel. Morgan listened intently as missionary Kelly Zbinden introduced Project 3000 at the IMB’s interview conference.
Kelly explained that over 3,000 people groups remain unreached by the gospel, with no known strategy to reach them. Most of these groups live in remote, hard-to-access places. “Are you willing to get uncomfortable and go to them?” Kelly asked, seeking team members to venture to the edge of spiritual lostness to learn about these unengaged, unreached people groups (UUPGs).
For Morgan, this was her dream, but doubts crept in about her qualifications. Kelly reassured her, saying, “We will train you to do hard things if you’re willing to trust God.” His wife, Jamie, added, “We have a team to support you.”
That was all Morgan needed. Now, she explores regions in Central Asia, helping missionaries reach the lost.
