Pine Ridge Reservation in Porcupine, South Dakota, is home to the Oglala Lakota tribe. It is one of the largest and poorest reservations in the United States, and less than 3% claim to know Jesus. After visiting on a short-term mission trip, Matt Hadden said, “I could hear people speaking a different language and realized I had entered a different culture right here in my own country. Looking around, I saw tremendous need. These people had been forgotten and I knew God was calling me here.”
Today, Matt and his wife Amanda lead the Čhaŋkú Wašté Ranch, a ministry center on the reservation, where they provide spiritual hope, as well as physical hope through free home repair, medical services through a newly opened clinic, and host a summer kids camp.
The Cooperative Program (CP) takes the Gospel to the nations and the neighborhoods. Your financial support through CP and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering helps missionaries reach the forgotten by being the hands and feet of Jesus.
Pray for the Haddens to have God’s wisdom and favor as they continue to meet the many needs of the Oglala Lakota people.
