As a child, Karen White asked her father, “Who tells people in far-off lands about Jesus?” He opened the Bible and showed her that God calls His people to go. That moment stayed with her.
Today, Karen and her husband, Kevin, are newly appointed IMB missionaries to Colombia. Their family of four has long lived on mission—befriending internationals and sharing the gospel in their community. Kevin, a former warehouse supervisor, worked with people from five countries. Their family even moved to a Spanish-speaking inner-city neighborhood to better reach their neighbors.
When crisis in Venezuela led thousands to flee, they felt called to help—and went to Colombia. Now, they’re returning full-time.
“Our family is constantly looking for ways to build a bridge with the lost and share the gospel,” Kevin says.
The Whites are sent by Cornerstone Baptist Church in Lafayette, Indiana.
Through the Cooperative Program, Southern Baptists help send missionaries like the Whites to the nations.
Pray God will be glorified through the Whites’ ministry in Colombia.
