Jonathan had no experience with church planting—only a clear call from God to start a multiethnic church in Federal Way, Washington, where more than 100 languages are spoken.

As he and his family obeyed, God opened doors. Soon, 20 refugee children began attending Connections Church. Jonathan realized God had brought them exactly who the church was planted to reach: the nations.

To better serve his growing congregation, Jonathan began praying for a Farsi or Arabic-speaking pastor. That’s when he met Jamal. Together, they now plan to launch an Arabic-speaking church in metro Seattle to reach the Muslim population.

“I never asked for any of this,” Jonathan says. “But because we’re open to what God wants to do, He keeps bringing us opportunities. We don’t have it all figured out—but we’re willing to obey.”

Through the Cooperative Program, our church helps share the gospel with the nations—right in Washington.

Pray God will continue to bring the nations to Connections Church.
