IMB missionary Gary Warrior and his friends enter a small restaurant in Central Asia. A large cast iron pot of *plov*, a popular rice pilaf, cooks on an open fire near the entrance. Gary chooses a booth where they can draw a curtain for privacy, a space typically used for business discussions. But today, Gary’s focus is on the Bible. He orders extra kabobs for his friends, who rarely get to indulge in meat, and the drink is always tea.
Gary and the men discuss their faith in Christ, truths from the Bible, and how these truths shape their daily lives. These meetings are crucial for the men growing in their faith, and they’re just as important to Gary.
After over 20 years in Central Asia, Gary now spends much of his time mentoring missionary teams and sharing his deep experience in the region. Together with his wife, Ann, they’ve seen God transform lives and bring people to faith in Christ.
When our church gives through the Cooperative Program (CP), we help international missionaries like the Warriors go and make disciples to the uttermost parts of the earth.
Pray that the people they are reaching with the good news will grow in maturity and faithfulness.
