Faith coordinates the Beloved Initiative, an anti-trafficking and sexual abuse awareness ministry of the Send Relief Ministry Center in Boston.
Faith connects deeply with the women in her new ministry because she recalls moments when she made poor choices that led to unsafe circumstances in her own life. However, Jesus saved her, revealing that she is “beloved,” a message she now shares with the women she serves.
An important part of Faith’s ministry is educating women in how to recognize, resist, and combat trafficking in their communities through “Human Trafficking 101” sessions.
Boston is a regional hub for human trafficking. Less than a 10-minute walk from the ministry, women are openly sold for sex. Faith’s ministry focuses on “interruptive” trafficking efforts, providing vulnerable populations with friendship and job opportunities to prevent exploitation.
When our church gives through the Cooperative Program, we support Faith’s work in sharing the love and protection of Jesus with Boston’s most vulnerable women.
Pray that God would continue to protect Faith as she shares the good news about Jesus in some of the most dangerous places in Boston.
