Carlton and Cornelia Walker, IMB missionaries, have devoted their lives to telling Japanese people about God’s love for them.

Japanese culture is one where people have a deep understanding of duty and obligation, thereby overriding personal opinions and feelings; so choosing to follow Jesus, not out of a sense of duty but because of a change of heart in response to the grace and mercy of God, is difficult. This is why when they share the Gospel, they speak of the amazing freedom, the no-strings-attached acceptance, and the unconditional love that Christ provides. Their desire is that this country which values obligation and duty will soon come to Christ in record numbers.

THE COOPERATIVE PROGRAM is the financial fuel for reaching every person for Jesus Christ in every town, every city, every state, and every nation. Your support through the Cooperative Program allows the Walkers the opportunity to voice the Good News of the Gospel in a culture that struggles with layers of duty, obligation, responsibility, and pressure to conform.

PRAY as the Walkers share the Gospel in Japan, people will come to a realization that they don’t need to earn God’s love and will commit their lives
to Christ.
