Reinaldo and Coralys Reyes are planting Iglesia Bíblica Luz Eterna (IBLE) in Cidra, Puerto Rico—a work born out of Iglesia Bautista de Buena Vista (IBBV) in nearby Cayey, after they realized 40% of their members were from Cidra.
While Reinaldo was in the Send Puerto Rico church planter residency, IBBV began small groups in Cidra. When he returned, he joined the work already in motion. “It’s been beautiful to witness how God blesses simple faithfulness,” he says. One young couple came to faith, was baptized, and now actively serves in the new church.
Church planting hasn’t been easy. Reinaldo and Coralys welcomed their first child during the residency and their second during the plant. “Balancing ministry and family has been a challenge,” Reinaldo admits, “but God has surrounded us with a faithful team.”
Through the Cooperative Program, our church helps families like the Reyeses bring gospel light to new communities.
