Resolution On Child Labor

WHEREAS, With the growth of industrialism in the Southern States, the Child Labor System has become prevalent in the South, as in other parts of the Nation, and,

WHEREAS, The known consequences of the Child Labor System are the disintegration of the family, and depriving the child of educational and religious privileges; therefore,

RESOLVED, That we call upon Christian parents to remember the Scriptural duty that they should lay up for the children, and not the children for them, and we call upon Christian employers and Christian citizens generally to put forth such effort as shall abolish all abuse of childhood throughout the Southern States.
