Resolution


On motion of Bro. J. J. Fleming of S.C.:

RESOLVED, That a committee be appointed to consider the propriety of changing the term “United States” into “Confederate States,” wherever said expression occurs in the Constitution or Minutes of this body.

Bro. G. B. Taylor moved to amend this resolution so as to read:

RESOLVED, That a committee be appointed to recommend such vital changes in the Constitution and Minutes as may be necessary, growing out of the recent formation of the Southern Confederacy.
