Resolved, That we have learned with hearty approval of the movement initiated by the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union of Brooklyn, N.Y., and now being endorsed by other Temperance and Welfare societies in America, to ask a pledge of total abstinence from intoxicating liquors during their official life on the part of all candidates whose oath of office calls for their support of the constitution of the United States.
