RESOLVED, (a) That we express the hope that no steps will be taken or proposals entertained by our government looking to the recognition of the newly formed Vatican State nor to the exchange of diplomatic representation with the Pope of Rome; (b) that copy of this resolution be forwarded both to the President, to the Secretary of State and to the members of the United States Senate.
