The Southern Baptist Convention in its 101st session wishes to express appreciation to the Baptists of Houston and the Union Association for their cordial Christian hospitality. We wish to express our appreciation to all local committees for many services rendered for our convenience and for the success of the Convention–to the radio, television, and press who have given publicity to the Convention preceding us, we express our heartfelt gratitude. We make special note of the courteous and efficient manner in which the police and public transportation facilities of the City of Houston have handled the requirements of the thousands of messengers attending this Convention, the employees of the Sam Houston Coliseum and the hotels, as well as the taxicab drivers of Houston.
