We, your Committee on Resolutions, approve and recommend for adoption the resolution on world peace offered by Dale Cowling of Arkansas, which is as follows:
WHEREAS, The gospel of Christ enjoins us to seek peace and good will among all people, and
WHEREAS, The threat of war still creates fears and international tensions, and
WHEREAS, Southern Baptists are eager to meet our responsibility to promote peace through Christian love and the application of Christian principles to human affairs;
Therefore, be it RESOLVED, That a committee of nine members by appointed by the President to report to the 1959 Convention on ways and means by which Southern Baptists can contribute to the cause of world peace.
