RESOLVED, That a committee be appointed to inquire into and report on the expediency and practicability of establishing missions by our Board in the large cities of Mexico, the West Indies and South America.
1. RESOLVED, That the proposal by the Missionary Boards to discontinue the Journal and the Commission, and to issue in their stead a cheap monthly paper, to be entitled, “The Home and Foreign Journal,” meets our cordial approbation.
2. RESOLVED, That the members of this Convention do pledge themselves to endeavor, as far as they may be able, to place this paper in every Baptist family in the Southern States.
