Resolution On Labor

1. That the Convention call the attention of our churches to the serious condition which has arisen concerning pastoral support, and that the Convention suggest and recommend to the churches that amounts due on pastors’ salaries be provided with the least possible delay, and that as rapidly as possible the pastors’ salaries be restored to the former level obtaining before the present economic depression began, and that they be raised above that level as rapidly as conditions demand and make possible in order that our pastors and their families may be relieved of the fearful privations and hardships which they are now suffering and that the pastors may be reasonably and comfortably provided for in things material so that they can give the churches the best and most efficient ministry in things spiritual.
