Resolution On Appreciation To Host City

The Southern Baptist Convention in its 102nd session wishes to express appreciation to the citizens of Louisville and Long Run Association for their gracious Christian hospitality. We wish to express our appreciation to the local committees for many services and accommodations–to the press, radio, and television facilities for fair and effective publicity. The opening of Christian homes for rooming accommodations multiplied the services and merits our grateful thanks. We commend the hotels, motels, public transportation and taxicab personnel for their courteous accommodations.

We call grateful attention to the work of the policemen in traffic supervision and the wide interest in the Convention by local and state citizens.

We sincerely thank the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary for permitting us to share the occasion of their Centennial and their commencement exercises, and we assure the administration, the faculty, and the student body of our prayerful interest in our oldest seminary.
