We, the messengers and visitors in the Seventy-fourth Session of the Southern Baptist Convention, assembled in Memphis, desire to express our unbounded sense of gratitude for the unspeakably gracious and abounding measure of hospitality which has been extended to us by the people of this noble city. To the pastors and their people, the committees on entertainment, the railroads, the newspapers and news agencies, the hotels, the police, the mayor and officials of the City Auditorium, and all others who have so kindly co-operated in making us feel at home, we earnestly and sincerely desire to express appreciation and beg leave to pray God’s blessings on Memphis.
