WHEREAS, newspaper advertising is one of the most effective available means of disseminating information to the public, and
WHEREAS, some other religious groups are using this channel of propaganda with apparent effectiveness, and
WHEREAS, it seems wise that Southern Baptists study the advisability of using this channel to get their message and doctrinal position to the multitudes who never otherwise receive them, both in the older sections of our Convention and in the new areas into which we are expanding,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention be asked to study this matter through a suitable committee of its members and report to the 1955 Convention with such recommendations as are found to be advisable.
