Matthew felt God’s call to the chaplaincy while he was a student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. After the events of 9/11, God began to show him how he could serve his country as he served Jesus through chaplaincy.

The team Matthew leads has three primary responsibilities. They care for the families of fallen service members, provide care for the mortuary staff, and train chaplains and mental health professions on how to serve grieving families.

The Cooperative Program takes the Gospel to the nations and the neighborhoods. Your support through the Cooperative Program provides vital training and fellowship opportunities for chaplains serving Jesus throughout our armed forces.

Pray that God will strengthen Matthew and other chaplains who provide spiritual support for grieving families.
