Missionary Liz Karwood* trains local South Asian believers how to share their faith with others. On one venture, she and local believer, Lipti*, went to a hair salon in an area where Muslims live and work. Inside the salon, Liz chose to have her eyebrows shaped as a way to begin a conversation. As the opportunity to speak clearly about Jesus became evident, Liz encouraged Lipti to share the Gospel. As Lipti began to speak, the salon worker stopped her and called out for women in the back of the salon to come hear about Jesus, too.
None of those women decided to follow Jesus that day, but as they left the salon, Lipti said, “Wow! I never knew it was so easy to share the Gospel! Let’s go find someone else!”
THE COOPERATIVE PROGRAM is the financial fuel for reaching every person for Jesus Christ in every town, every city, every state, and every nation. Your support through the Cooperative Program provides missionaries like Liz with the tools they need to share the Gospel and empower local believers to do the same.
PRAY for Liz as she encourages local believers to consider their role in the missionary task.
