WHEREAS, The messengers of the 136th annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention have been the recipients of the gracious hospitality of the people of Houston; and
WHEREAS, The Southern Baptists of the Houston area have displayed tremendous leadership in making preparations for the Convention meeting; and
WHEREAS, The President, officers, committees and platform personnel have conducted the affairs of this convention in a professional and Christlike manner, while displaying outstanding leadership.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That we the messengers to this the 136th annual session of the Southern Baptist Convention express our profound gratitude to all those whose efforts have contributed to the gracious spirit, evangelistic impact and overall effectiveness of this annual meeting.
