WHEREAS, Many excellent public school personnel, including classroom teachers, administrators, and support staff adhere to and live by godly principles, and they maintain exemplary Christian testimonies, sometimes at great personal cost and often with very positive results, and
WHEREAS, Godly public school personnel are often the only adult representation of Jesus Christ and His redemptive love that students in public schools experience in their lives.
Be it therefore RESOLVED, that we, the messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention, meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, June 15-16, 1999, enthusiastically affirm these individuals, support them, and pray for them and the places in which they serve.
