Title: Worship Pastor
Reports To: Lead Pastor
Directed by the Holy Spirit and motivated by a love for God and others, the Minister of Worship & Creative Arts will support the mission of the church by overseeing the worship and creative arts ministry.
Develop and direct regularly scheduled worship gatherings and special events in conjunction with Lead Pastor and Associate Worship Pastor.
Oversee all Gather ministries and personnel, including Associate Worship Pastor and Tech Directors for Cove and Downtown Campuses.
Initiate, direct and evaluate service programming that facilitates biblical worship while supporting the mission and vision of Rivertree Church.
Recruit, select, train and place leaders and volunteers in all areas of service programming and technical support including music, creative arts, production, sound, media, lights and set/stage design alongside associate worship pastor and tech directors.
Facilitate schedules, rehearsals and rotations for multiple worship teams across two campuses in conjunction with Associate Worship Pastor.
Effectively communicate with leaders, volunteers and staff to promote awareness and execution of ministry plans.
Spiritually mentor members of bands and teams by leading them to connect, worship, grow and serve together.
Provide periodic training and/or resources to ministry team leaders and volunteers.
Develop and lead a creative worship team to plan and support services with creative elements.
Oversee program, event and service logistics resulting in effective use of human and technical resources and appropriate use of property and equipment.
Prepare visual/media presentations for regularly scheduled services and special events in conjunction with Tech Directors.
Ensure all lighting, sound and media equipment and technology for all multi-media venues at Cove and Downtown Campuses are maintained and in good working order in conjunction with Tech Directors.
Plan and administer budget lines related to areas of worship and production.
Partner with church staff in coordinating services, rehearsals and meetings with the overall church calendar.
Follower of Christ who relies on His wisdom and strength in fulfilling the call to serve in this position.
Must exemplify Christlike character with ability to teach, model and oversee worship in the church.
College or seminary degree with an emphasis in music ministry or equivalent experience.
Minimum of two years experience in worship leadership, service planning and technical leadership.
Demonstrated vocal and music proficiency as well as technical/production experience and skills.
Effective communicator with the ability to lead people to encounter God in corporate worship.
Capable of equipping and developing volunteers and leaders to successfully execute ministry objectives.
Ability to plan, organize, direct and oversee service design and execution.
Skilled in interpersonal, written and oral communication.
Working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting.
Working knowledge of Planning Center Online.
Working knowledge of ProPresenter (preferred).
Job involves ‘challenges' related to growth and changes in the work environment.
Job includes periodic local and non-local travel.
Job requires a combination of office and irregular hours.
Job requires overseeing multiple teams and worship at multiple campuses.
