Develops, implements, and maintains a discipleship program for students and children. Teaches the Word of God to students during corporate Bible study. Works with members of Student/Children committee to plan trips, fundraisers, activities, etc. Implements and incorporates youth in a evangelistic outreach ministry. Follows up with youth/children who visit our church. Encourages youth/children to participate in worship services. Assist the pastor in preaching, visiting, and any other area of need. Maintains good rapport with students/children and their parents and ensures that parents are well informed of all activities. Follows youth/children protection plans. Strives to become well known in the community and with youth/children that do not attend our church.
Must have repented of sins and placed faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Must have made a public profession of faith and been baptized by immersion. Must be a Christian for at least 5 years. Must be in full agreement with the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message and with Southern Baptist Doctrine. Must be called into the student/children ministry. Must have experience working with youth/children. Must be actively attending and serving in a Southern Baptist Church. Must be a tither. Must be highly motivated and self-driven to accomplish goals or task. Must have good organizational skills. Must be someone who is very mature and very responsible.
