Job Overview
Provides leadership, organization, and administration to the worship and choir ministries. He will minister to the entire church body, but especially to the members of the worship team and choir members. He will be responsible for organizing meaningful Christ-centered worship on a weekly basis and preparing the choir for various choir events. Works under the supervision of the Senior Pastor.

Areas of Responsibility
• Prepares for and facilitates worship sets for weekly worship services
• This includes Sunday morning and Sunday nights services
• Prepares to lead the congregation in worship with songs, scripture readings, and prayerful Christ-centered worship.
• Coordinates with worship team and musicians weekly to prepare for worship services
• Prepares for choir rehearsal and leads a weekly choir rehearsal to prepare for various choir singing events
• Takes time to reach out to worship team, musicians, and current choir members at various times to minister spiritually to them
• Takes time to reach out to prospective worship team and choir members and invite them to be a part of the ministry
• Ministers spiritually to entire congregation
• Attends weekly church services
• Prepares services beforehand and gives order of service to church clerk so ample time is available to prepare bulletins
• Develops and keeps track of worship and choir budget
• Prepares for and leads one annual choir special for a major Christian holiday (Easter or Christmas)
• At various times will organize fellowship events that include all members of worship team, media team, sound team, and choir members
• Will supervise upon the need of a children’s choir
• Works with worship team to lead worship that will be meaningful for all ages and create a blended worship experience with Christ-centered hymns and contemporary worship music

• Personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
• Has received believer’s baptism
• Servant heart with genuine love for church congregation
• Strong personal commitment to purity, holiness, spiritual growth, and a desire to maintain good character and integrity
• Committed to and supports the church covenant and the mission and vision of Mouth of Richland Baptist Church
• Flexible and adaptable
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude
• Person of humility
• Knowledge of music and musical talent
• Dependable and able to work with little supervision
• Effective planning, organization, and administrative skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to recruit and prepare volunteers


Minimum Education and Experience
• High School diploma
• 3 years’ experience of leading worship and choir in a church environment
• Musical knowledge that would make him capable to lead and teach music

Technical Competencies
• Ability to use internet to research new music and order new music for church
• Basic knowledge of sound equipment
