In accordance with Village Baptist Church (VBC) policies and procedures, the Superintendent will accept all responsibility for the effective operation of Village Christian Academy (VCA), general administration of all instruction, and the supervision and professional development of all VCA employees.

Responsibilities:

As an employee of Village Baptist Church, perform duties under the direct supervision of the Lead Pastor, or his delegate.

Establish and implement programs and procedures to ensure the effective day-to-day operations of VCA.

Enforce all provisions of laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to the management of VCA as a Christian school.

Ensure that students and staff adhere to behavior and conduct standards established by VBC / VCA policies.
With Christian character and integrity, set goals and objectives for enrichment in biblical teachings, academic excellence, and the most comprehensive educational program possible.

Work cooperatively with the staff, administrators, school committee, and ACSI /AdvancEd to ensure high standards of achievement and the opportunity for all students to learn.

Be responsible for achieving effective cooperation among the staff.

Be responsible for the recruitment, selection, evaluation, termination, and professional development of the staff.
With the staff, review and appraise policies and procedures to make continuous improvement recommendations to the Church CFO and to the School Committee as needed.

Direct the operations and activities of the administrators; see that they effectively guide and coordinate the educational programs and activities of VCA; secure their assistance in formulating internal objectives, plans and programs; evaluate their job performance; provide guidance and support as needed.

Be responsible for an effective and continued public information program to keep the staff, students, and parents accurately informed.

Ensure that the development, authorization, and maintenance of the VCA budget is properly administered within the financial policies and procedures outlined by the Church.

Attend all School Committee meetings as a non-voting member and regularly update the committee regarding the implementation of policies, school progress and improvement, and other areas determined by the committee.

Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO and/or Lead Pastor.

Be an active member of The Village Baptist Church.


REQUIREMENTS:

Be a born again Christian.

Hold a valid Masters/Doctorate degree in Educational Administration / Supervision.

Have a minimum of three years of Superintendent experience.
