The full-time Associate Pastor of Administration and Family Ministries will serve as the primary person to coordinate the Family Ministries of Hollywood Baptist Church. In addition, he should be an ordained minister and responsible to assist the Senior Pastor with ministerial and support needs as they arise. The Associate Pastor will work collaboratively under the direct supervision of the Senior Pastor and in the absence of the Senior Pastor, he is responsible to the Board of Deacons. It will be requested of him and his family to become members of Hollywood Baptist Church within 30 days of employment and he is expected to reside within a reasonable distance of the church.

B. Adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
C. A heart of worship and service to God demonstrated through a vibrant prayer life and a life surrendered to Christ.
D. Ability to cooperate with all staff to promote unity and oneness and strive to carry out the entire ministry plan of the church.
E. Ability and commitment to maintain personal standards of Godliness based on Biblical Principles which results in an uncompromised testimony within the church and community from which a credible ministry originates.
F. Able to communicate effectively with one-on-one, small and large group settings exhibiting a pleasing attitude that is confident and enthusiastic.
G. Ability to be actively involved and supportive of the overall life of the ministry, including all ministry areas and leaders.
H. Must be circumspect in dress and demeanor.
II. ASSOCIATE PASTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
A. May be assigned a specific area of ministry to oversee.
B. In the absence of the Senior Pastor, the Associate Pastor will be responsible to take phone calls, oversee and lead worship services, and other ministerial duties that might arise.
C. Assist with visitation as directed by the Senior Pastor and in any other needs that arise in this area.
D. Maintain continued growth to his personal calling and walk with the Lord through consistent Bible study and prayer.
E. Develops and exercises personal evangelism within and outside the church.
F. Establish administrative protocols for the church to include implementing team-led ministry and developing and supporting operations procedures.
G. Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
III. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Attend committee meetings that pertain to his area of influence, including but not limited to the Church Council, Youth Ministry, Leadership Team Meetings, etc.
B. Meet with Senior Pastor on a weekly basis for prayer, collaborative planning and evaluation.
C. Maintain personal priorities with his wife and family as the spiritual leader.
D. Attend seminars and conferences designed for ministry as approved by the church.
E. Required to adhere to the church constitution.
F. Possess and utilize computer competencies related to service planning and presentation.
G. Demonstrate responsibility in being punctual and committed to the ministry programs of the church.
IV. FAMILY MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Supervise the establishment and coordination of activities designed to minister to the whole family
a. Children’s Ministry Activities
b. Student Ministry Activities
c. Adult Ministry Activities
B. Standardize education both biblical and discipleship.
a. Identify curriculum
b. Identify and train teachers and leaders
C. Coordinate all leadership training for Youth Workers and leadership.
D. The teaching of Sunday School, Youth Meetings, Family Nights and Youth Discipleship will be his responsibilities.
E. Will seek the salvation of the youth in the church and in the community. He will also attempt to foster their growth and development in Christian leadership through the teaching, application, nurture and admonition of God’s Word.
F. He shall engage in and promote Youth Visitation.
G. The Associate Pastor will be available for counseling with youth and their parents.
H. Prepare an annual budget for the Youth Ministry to be presented to the Finance Committee for their approval. Final approval will come from the church at the annual budget meeting.
V. COMPENSATION AND EVALUATION
A. Salary will be commensurate to experience and is negotiable.
B. The Senior Pastor or Leadership Team will provide an annual evaluation of the Associate Pastor’s performance.
