Harvest House Community Fellowship is looking for a bi-vocational pastor who has a strong sense of calling to pastoral ministry. Of course, he must have an expressed love for the Lord and an orthodox and growing knowledge of the Scriptures. While a higher education degree is strongly preferred, it is not an absolute requirement. More importantly, an ability to communicate passionately, clearly and at different levels (including with children) is crucial. HHCF needs a pastor with a sense of humor that is employed lovingly and wisely. The church would also prefer their new pastor to be married with school-aged children or younger. Again, this is not an absolute requirement.
When considering how they would prioritize the pastoral functions of communicator, people-person, and administrator, HHCF is looking for a new pastor whose primary strength is in relating to people as a counsellor, friend and disciple-maker. The secondary (though highly important) strength needs to be in preaching and teaching. Administration would be the third concern of the congregation
Additionally, their new pastor must have a strong missions mindset for reaching the lost in the community and around the world. As such, it is necessary that the pastor be a proponent of the Southern Baptist Convention and the Cooperative Program as well as the other agencies, ministries, and schools that Southern Baptist churches promote and support together in their passionate pursuit of fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.
Harvest House Community Fellowship is a small, growing contemporary Southern Baptist Fellowship located in the town of Hornbrook in Pennsylvania’s beautiful Endless Mountains. We are contemporary in worship, conservative in doctrine and contractors of God’s love within our community. Our goal is to become “living examples” of God’s love to people wherever they may be in life. We challenge each other to offer both love and fellowship, and we provide unlimited growth opportunities for those who respond to the Lord’s call. Our principle for living is found in Romans 12:15 “Rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep.” Our average attendance is 30-50.
