Southern Baptist Convention

First Baptist Church of Clyde is a small town church of 40 with the heart of a Big God. Our Mission is to bring people to Jesus and into a relationship with His family; to develop them into Christ-likeness; to equip them in their ministry to the church and community, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. Our core values include preaching and teaching, prayer, worship, excellence, benevolence, cooperation, encouragement, and fellowship.

We are hoping to find a pastor with a vision to love us to a new journey in life as many of us wish to finish well. We struggle with tradition but are willing to transition over time to make a difference in our community. Although this is a bi-vocational position, we hope it will become a full-time position.

We have a Sunday AM, PM and Wednesday PM services. We are debt free and wishing to invest in God's Kingdom. Applicants may send their resumes with cover letters and audio or video links for sermons to the Pulpit Committee - FBCclyde@gmail.com. Prospective candidates will receive a questionnaire and further instruction no later than February 1.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must meet Scriptural requirements as stated in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
Adherence to the Southern Baptist Faith and Message (adopted June 2000).

Preferred at least 3-5 years’ experience in active ministry.
