To develop and lead the music portion of our corporate worship gatherings, under the shepherding of the senior pastor, in a way that is consistent with our mission, values, and theology so that the congregation is led to sing praises to the Lord. Theological precision in the music chosen is priority number 1. We exist as a church for the supremacy and savoring of Christ and His glorification in all things.
Select & plan music for all services in coordination with Senior Pastor
Recruit, equip, motivate, supervise and shepherd choir members
Maintain a strong prayer base for the music ministry.
Communicate faithfully with the Senior Pastor and staff.
Participate in the life and ministry of the local church.
Must meet the character qualifications of an elder (1 Timothy 3). Must be able to teach sound doctrine (not necessarily required is the ability to preach)
Must demonstrate Biblical understanding of the Gospel and be able to communicate it with others.
Must bear fruit in his relationship with Christ that is in keeping with repentance.
Ability to shepherd choir and musicians in the Christian life.
Demonstrate love and respect for the people.
Attested musical skills and competence.
Ability to organize, coordinate, and motivate musicians and technical team members.
Oversee performance and necessary training of media team (sound booth crew)
Coordinate with Ministry Assistant and Media Team to develop Easy Worship slides each week
Committed to the church's vision, submit to leadership, and love the people.
Dependable, responsible, self-motivated and creative.
Bachelor's degree in Music or Theology (Masters or working towards preferred).
Minimum three years experience in ministerial position.
Ability in wide range of styles including Christian classics (hymns) with an eye to sound theological contemporary songs as well.
Ability to lead worship and to train others.
Guitar player (preferred)
Arranging and sequencing music to fit well together each service.
Producing and directing special events, musicals and programs as needed.
