Smith Memorial Baptist Church
6515 Richmond Rd
Williamsburg, VA 23188
Smith Memorial is aligned with the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia. We are located in the fast-growing Williamsburg area of Virginia. We average 330 in two Sunday morning services (one blended and one contemporary) and additionally hold a Sunday evening Church-wide Prayer meeting. We have very active children and youth programs (AWANA programs on Wednesday evenings through the school year, Vacation Bible School each June, Youth mission camps, and in the wintertime a large Upward Basketball Program). We participate in local, national and international missions; this includes annual Disaster Relief Support Team trips and US/international missions trips. We have been a top 10% of churches per capita giving to Lottie Moon fund of the International Missions Board. We have active Senior Adult, Women’s and Men’s Ministries. We also make a significant impact in our local community via our Benevolence and Deacon’s ministry funds.
We had a long-term pastor (22 years) retire who was followed by a short-term pastor (4 years). We are again looking for God’s chosen man who has a passion for lost people who will lead us to “Know Him and Make Him Known” locally and to the ends of the earth.
