Requirements include:
*Plan and conduct the worship service, prepare and deliver sermons, lead in observance of ordinances.
*Lead the church in an effective program of witnessing and in a caring ministry for persons in the church and community.
*Visit members and prospects.
*Conduct counseling sessions; perform wedding ceremonies; conduct funerals
*Preside over Church Ministry Leadership Team meetings.
*Work with deacons, church officers, teams and committees as they perform their assigned responsibilities; train and lead the deacons in a program of family ministries.
*Cooperate with associational, state, and denominational leaders in matters of mutual interest and concern; keep the church informed of denominational developments; represent the church in civic matters.
*Serve as the direct supervisor of the paid ministerial staff; supervise the work of other assigned paid workers.
*Serve as an ex-officio member of all teams and committees.
*Lead the church in planning effective programs where people and families are strengthened spiritually, both inside the church and in the general community.
