Support and assist the Lead Pastor (and pastoral/elder team) to build the Kingdom of God by equipping others to create a missional, Biblical community to proclaim the gospel and reach those far from God.

Design, Develop, and Deploy a unified and compelling vision for the church’s efforts in our corporate gatherings and worship environments.


REQUIREMENTS:

Must be a born again believer in Jesus Christ living in accordance with God’s Word.

Individual must be a self starter and critical thinker.

Be a “go getter.” The staff member must be able to work independently while being efficient and productive.

The staff member must be able to create. This means pursuing and making new work and projects to aid in the growth and development in general. This is primarily an entrepreneurial function, but also means being creative.

A staff member must be able to lead and attract people, both to yourself, your ministry and the Church at Martinsburg in general. Good people skills and good theology are a must.

Ongoing brainstorming, relationship building, troubleshooting, dreaming and implementing strategies within the context of the Church at Martinsburg with the other pastors.

Provide expertise to church for ongoing programs and activities. This includes (but is not limited to) creative thinking, strategic planning, evaluation, observation, leading, developing Worship Arts needed in given areas, equipping leadership teams and strategizing for more effective use of Worship Arts.

Facilitate worship in the main worship gatherings and provide oversight for programming of other worship related services. Provide overall creative and administrative direction for our worship gatherings with communication and consultation from the Lead Pastor. This includes recruiting, scheduling, developing and overseeing volunteer teams relating to worship arts (instrumentalists, vocalists, media, and staging).

Disciple others through Worship Arts training, rehearsals, brainstorming, post-production evaluation, and inspiration. Create opportunities for people to serve and use their abilities. Provide care and counseling to those on the Worship Arts teams.

Work in conjunction with the Administrative Pastor for the management and administration of all things concerning facilities and equipment.

Provide vision, brainstorming, creativity, input, assistance, leadership and management to existing and future programs/activities as needed. Ensure that audio, video, tech, music and other necessary worship teams fulfill assigned tasks on time and serve with excellence as well as authenticity.

Participate in all staff meetings and staff development times.

Develop annual ministry plan and budget for worship ministry team.
