Our church is a place where we enjoy the experience of growing closer to God and each other. We find a lot of encouragement through meeting together weekly and celebrating the works of God in our church family. Just 25 minutes from downtown St. Louis, MO, Maryville is a friendly town that is a great place to minister and to live. We have 3 Sunday morning worship services each week, and Wednesday evening bible study classes.

Church Ministries

Bible Studies

In order to live the abundant Christian life, it is important to know more about Jesus Christ and His teachings. One of the best ways to accomplish this is through challenging Bible Study with other Christians. First Baptist Maryville offers classes for everyone from preschool through adults.

Childrens Ministries

The Children's Ministry at First Baptist desires to help children take their first steps toward a relationship with Jesus Christ. Our focus is in helping children develop a hunger for knowing Him, loving Him, and living for Him. We offer year-round and special events that meet children where they are and encourage them to grow.

Counseling Ministry

Our Counseling Ministry offers one-on-one counseling for members as well as nonmembers, adults or adolescents experiencing a wide range of issues such as alcoholism, anger, depression, grief, self esteem, premarital, marital/family, and separation/divorce. The primary desire of our counseling program is to help individuals in their specific time of need. Support groups are also available for several of these issues.

Mens Ministry

The Men’s Ministry at First Baptist desires to help men know, love and serve Jesus; mature in their faith, and be better husbands, fathers, and witnesses of God's Son, Jesus. They meet on the third Saturday of every month for breakfast and fellowship. Along with Sunday School and Bible Study classes, the men at First Baptist also help fix things around the church and for others. Once a quarter they sponsor a Car Care Ministry. This specific ministry provides basic automobile maintenance and repairs at no cost/low cost to single parents, senior adults, and low-income families (both members and non-members).

Preschool Ministries

We believe every age group deserves the opportunity to have quality learning experiences. Our Preschool Ministry offers babies through kindergartners the chance to learn in developmentally appropriate ways. Providing a safe, nurturing environment for children is our foremost concern. Church should always be a place where children feel secure and accepted. This environment produces the best learning situation.

Student Ministries

The Student Ministry at FBCM values relationships above all else. All of our core beliefs are centered on relationships and what it means to ensure a healthy relationship with God, other Christians, and the lost. We desire to see our Middle School Students become established as Christians who understand and grow in a relationship with Christ. We encourage our High School Students to become established as Christians who live and own a faith in Christ.

Womens Ministry

The Women’s Ministry here at the church is designed to tell women about Jesus and dwell together as sisters. We desire to mature in Christ by digging into His Word and demonstrate our love through ministry in the church. All of us have been called to deliver the Gospel Message to all the world, resulting in lives totally devoted to God.

Worship Ministry

Praise and worship is such a vital part of our Christian life that it has become a key ingredient in our services. There’s a place for everyone in the worship and music ministry at First Baptist with special worship celebrations as well as dramatic musical experiences throughout the year.
