Southern Baptist Convention

Our purpose at First Baptist Church Rincon is “to passionately follow Jesus daily as we serve others with truth and grace.” We filter every idea, program, and budget request through that statement. If what we plan does not help us fulfill that mission, we simply do not do it. Our ultimate desire, our vision, is “to be a church who lovingly points all people to new life in Jesus Christ.” As you experience the people of FBCR on our campus or in our community, we sincerely want you to meet Jesus Christ.

Church Ministries

DNA Groups

Our DNA Groups have one, simple purpose: to bring people together. It is our DNA. We believe God created us to live in relationship with others and only then can we live the full life He intends for us. Sharing life through community is part of the way He designed us, but meaningful relationships aren’t always easy to find. Would you agree? That’s why our DNA groups exist—to make these life-changing relationships relevant and accessible to everyone. These groups exist to Disciple (grow in your relationship with the Lord), Nurture (get connected with others), and Assimilate (get involved in ministry).

Hispanic worship

Spanish-language worship is led by our Hispanic Pastor, Rev. Francisco Rodriguez. You may contact him at 912-313-7333. They have Sunday worship at 09:45 p.m. in our Memorial Chapel.

Kids Ministries

At FBCR the goal of our children’s ministry is to offer a place where children from first through fifth grade can discover and develop a passion for God. Through worship, teaching, and a variety of fun activities, children are exposed to God’s Word and challenged to grow in their relationship with God. Our ministries include: Sunday School, Kidz Church, Trail Life for Boys and American Heritage Girls, VBS.

Student Ministries

At First Baptist Church of Rincon, we strive to create opportunities for students to gather under one name—Jesus. We believe that by creating unique environments in the local church, students are excited to hear the Word of God, be challenged by its truth and encouraged by leaders as well as their peers in their walk with Christ! Whether you are new to church, or are seeking additional opportunities to go deeper in your relationship with God, FBCR Students has a place for you!

Weekday Childcare Ministry

Weekday Ministries is a ministries and educational outreach of First Baptist Church Rincon. Its goal is to minister to families and assist in the development of their children through our programs. Contact the Weekday Ministries Director, Brittany Childers at (912) 826-2213.

Worship Ministries

It is an honor to praise the Lord through music. Every age group has that opportunity in the music ministry at First Baptist Church. Music is one of the most precious gifts God has given us, His people, to express our devotion to Him. We offer the following ways to lead in worship: Praise Band, Orchestra, Praise Teams, and Adult Choir that all participate on most Sunday mornings, and the Handbell Choir that leads us on special occasions and holidays.

Driving Directions

Our church campus is located on the east side of Highway 21, between 6th and 7th Streets in Rincon. From Interstate 95, take the Port Wentworth Exit 109 and go north on Highway 21 about 8 miles. We are 1 1/2 miles north of Lowes/Kroger/Wal-Mart.
