Cross Point Baptist Church was birthed on March 3, 2002. It commenced as a "church plant" of the Rehoboth Baptist Association in Warner Robins, Georgia. The congregations of Tharpe Memorial and Bethel Baptist (of Warner Robins) uniquely combined to create a single church seeking unity and purpose. Cross Point began with a dream and vision to become a church in the middle Georgia area that only God could create! In March of 2002, Cross Point began with an attendance of less than fifty. In December 4, 2005, due to continued growth, Cross Point moved in to a new multi-purpose facility on forty acres of land just west of I-75 in Perry, Georgia. In 2016, Davin Benavides became the second pastor in Cross Point’s history. Under his leadership, Cross Point has established a clear mission of being a church that exists to make fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ, who love God wholeheartedly and love others unconditionally. The vision for how the mission will be accomplished is by being a church where hurting people are finding healing and helping others. Cross Point is not a church focused just on what happens inside of our walls or even just what happens in Houston County. We partner with several church plants and support missionaries directly, as well as through the Cooperative Program.
