Southern Baptist Convention

A message to our guests at College Heights Baptist: Everyone needs someplace where they belong, a community of friends, a family... a home. We invite you to make the College Heights family your family and to let College Heights become your "church home." We offer a caring community of supportive friends who will pray for you, support you and, most of all, love you. Perhaps you've lived in Manhattan all of your life, or maybe you are brand new to this city. Either way you can be sure that here, in this place, you have found folks who care about you. In addition to our Sunday morning worship service, we offer Bible study for all ages and an intimate Sunday evening service where we often delve deep into God's word and the challenging issues of life. We are also involved in a variety of activities and ministries to our church family and to the community at large. It would be our hope that you would find many avenues of involvement and belonging here at College Heights. Our love for people flows from God' love to us, as expressed in his Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ. Each of our members at College Heights has responded to the love of Jesus in our life by accepting Him through faith as our Lord and Savior. We are eager to share the love of God with you! The Bible teaches that Jesus is the head of the church and that we are all members of the "Body of Believers." We would like to be companions with you on your spiritual journey whether you are just starting out or whether you have known Jesus as Savior and Lord for many years.

Church Ministries

Conversational English for Internationals

Since 1982, College Heights Baptist Church has sponsored Conversational English classes. During this time hundreds of students from all over the world have participated in this program. These classes are taught entirely by volunteers. The goal of these volunteers is to make the international's time in the United States more enjoyable. Each week (September through April) students will attend classes. Through these classes, the students will make new friends, both American and international, and will participate in every day conversational exercises designed to help them participate more comfortably in the community.

Missions Ministry

We have sponsered a number of missionaries from College Heights Baptist Church and believe that this is a vital part of our mission both at home and abroad.

Prayer Ministry

We meet every Thursday morning, 6:30-7:30am, and evening, 7:00-8:00pm, for prayer. We cover a variety topics which include healing, discernment, church family, the persecuted church, missions, military, our President and his cabinet members, state and local government officials, and personal salvation.
