Welcome to the Family of First Baptist Church of DeBary. As you take a cyber journey through our website, we hope that you will see our love for God and for people. Our goal here at First Baptist is to exalt the Savior, evangelize the sinner, edify the saints, equip the saved and enlist the servant for the glory and praise of our Lord Jesus Christ. The people of First Baptist are a loving and giving people. They willingly give of their time, talent and treasures in order to accomplish two things that our Savior left us here to do: help reach the lost who do not yet have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus and build up those who have been saved by His awesome, amazing grace. So, come with me on a wonderful journey to the "grace place" where everyone and anyone are welcomed and loved. www.fbcdebary.org Because He Lives, Pastor Chris

As a body of believers; we look forward to seeing new Christians following the Lord in believer's baptism and the Lord’s work at the First Baptist Church of DeBary. You are invited to help with this important part of following Christ. They make all necessary arrangements for the ordinance of baptism, rendering assistance to the Pastor and candidates as they follow the commands of our Lord Jesus Christ.
During our Sunday morning Bible Study, "Worship Kidstyle" children are taught simple Bible stories to help them begin to understand Jesus and how much He loves them. They love singing Bible songs, doing activities, and playing Bible games. All levels of our Children's Ministry seeks to serve God by teaching children in a loving, safe, and cultivating environment. Our volunteer workers are faithful each week to instruct the children in the teachings of the Bible. During our Worship Services, extended care is provided for preschoolers and babies.
Our clubs started with the 1993-94 year. We are thankful to the Lord for the exciting years in Awana at the FBCD! Our FBC of DeBary Awana Clubs runs from ages K3 - 6th. grade . Many parents and church members help our children through the lessons and activities. Our clubs meet during the school year, on Wednesday night, and run from 6:30-8:00 pm. Every club goes to game time, handbook time, and council time. During the clubs we learn how to use the Bible, read stories from the Bible, learn how to obey, do what is right, listen to our parents, how to be friendly, and learn Bible verses from God’s Word. During council time we sing, have announcements, and present awards that each of the clubbers earn during clubs. Come and join us for an exciting time in our clubs.
The purpose of the Library is to provide the church family with useful Christian resources, materials for personal study and teaching, and to oversee the distribution and upkeep of all our resources. Resources Available: Books for all ages. DVD for family entertainment, educational, Children and Bible Studies. Our church maintains a Church History collection which dates back to 1952. Contact our Librarian for more information about helping in the Library, or to provide books, DVD's, or other donations, for our library or our Church History books.
Our Men in Action group called MIA, meet to have fellowship with other men, and men from our church congregation. They also strive to serve others by helping our church members or families, or serve in our church with projects that need to be completed around the facilities.
The "Messengers" is a group of church members who attend the Annual and Semi-Annual meetings of the Seminole Baptist Association and or the Baptist Convention and vote on any matters that come before that body. There is always an interesting and informative program at both meetings. Anyone who is interested may attend the meetings.
We have a place for you to serve the Lord! Come and join us and "make a joyful noise unto the Lord.” We will welcome you with open arms. We have various ensembles, soloists, and the praise team.

We offer an assortment of specialized activities for children grades 1-5. Our children's materials meet each age group level. Our children's department is filled with wonderful people who care for your child. We focus on their spiritual needs, address all aspects and areas of life, and help them to develop a growing relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Our main concerns are: teaching the Bible, seeing our children develop a personal relationship with Christ, and helping them grow and serve God at home and in their neighborhood.
The Preschool Ministry seeks to serve God by teaching children from babyhood through nursery school in a loving, safe, and cultivating environment. Our volunteer workers are faithful each week to instruct the children in the teachings of the Bible. During our Worship Services, extended care is provided for preschoolers and younger. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Psalm 22:6
The Bible says, “to have friends one must show himself friendly.” One way we encourage and foster a friendly spirit is by the use of door greeters. Our goal is for every visitor and every member who walks into our services to feel welcomed. The Ushers & Greeters Ministry is a ministry that assists the Pastor. They assist the people as they enter the church, hand out our church bulletin, receive the offering, and give other announcements to those in attendance.
The Vacation Bible School program always runs during the summer. The VBS program has classes during the evening for a period of 5 days (Mon.-Fri.). The children then present a program for the parents and the church members to see what they learned and accomplished throughout the week. Each night is divided into three sections: crafts, games, and class time. The opening is in the Sanctuary, where we have offering, songs, and the Bible Story. The closing consists of missionary stories or stories from the theme in the VBS material. If you are a teacher or you can help with crafts and or just love to work with children this is a ministry for you.
We are honored to stand behind our missionaries in prayer. This is a time of fellowship and also a time of prayer for our Missionaries and for us to gleen "nuggets" from God's Word. The women meet monthly during September - May. This group of women are an encouragement to those that they help and to the special mission projects that they support throughout the year.
Our Youth Ministry includes youth in grades 6 through 12. This is a great age to worship and learn about Jesus. We want to help our young people grow in their personal relationship with Jesus. Each year the Youth go on a Missions Trip, and help families with "World Changers." Many come back inspired to serve the Lord in our church.
