Located off of Highway 58, near I-77, just minutes away from the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway, First Baptist Church of Galax stands as a gathering of believers in God's kingdom under the lordship of our Savior, Jesus Christ and seek to fulfill the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20), using Christ and biblical scripture as our guide and authority. Our mission is to make Christ known through love, to minister to people's diverse needs, to provide an atmosphere of worship and praise, to grow together toward Christ-like maturity, and to equip all for ministry in the church, community, and world.

Childrens music, Wednesdays, 6:00 pm, followed by Kingdom Kids and AWANA, 6:30 pm.
Clothing supplies available to those in need. Open every Wednesday, 1:30 - 3:30 pm.
Sunday School, 10:00 am, worship, 11:00 am, bible study/prayer meeting, 6:00 pm
Adult choir meets every Wednesday at 7:30 pm to learn new music for Sunday worship.
Sunshine Group, with outings and activities every third Thursday of month.
Sunday School classes are held for all ages at 9:45 a.m.
Women on Mission, with missional projects held throughout the year.
Gatherings on Sundays (6:00 pm) and Wednesdays (6:30 pm). Special activities and projects also scheduled. Youth ages 6th - 12th are welcome!
From Interstate 77 – North (or South): Take the US-52 / US-221 exit (Exit 14) towards Hillsville and Galax, and turn left (or right) onto US-221 South / US-58 West / Carrollton Pike. Continue to follow US-58 W for 8 miles to the church, right side of the road, approximately one mile past the “Welcome to Galax” sign (main entrance and parking next to the highway). From VA-89 (Mount Airy): Follow US-89 North to the VA-89 Truck Route (Lineberry Rd.). Turn right onto Lineberry Rd / VA-89 Truck for about one mile, then turn right at the second stoplight onto East Stuart Dr. / US-221 N / US-58 E. Follow US-58 E for two miles, and the church will be on the left side (direct access to main entrance and parking from the highway) From US-52: Follow US-52 South to Hillsville, then turn right onto US-221 S / US-58 W. Follow US-58 West to Galax (12 miles). The church is on the right side (direct access to main entrance and parking from the highway).
