New churches are exciting! If the idea of being part of a new church start appeals to you then check us out. Our home and church Bible studies are personal and relevant. Our worship is God-centered. Our music is a blend of contemporary and traditional songs and hymns. We believe that salvation is a gift, a legacy, given to us to be passed on in concrete, benevolent ways. We are a caring congregation who desire to serve God on the mission field as well as in our own communities. Ours is a Kingdom vision: we don’t focus on the growth of our church but on the building of God’s Kingdom. Our purpose is to become, and lead others to become, more like Jesus Christ. Our mission is to reach, teach, and submit in the authority of Jesus’ name. Legacy Baptist Church currently worships between the communities of Indian Mound and Dover, Tennessee; a residential and rural area situated just west of the city limits of Clarksville. We are bordered on the North by Fort Campbell Army Post and the Cumberland River on the South. This area is a favorite for many military families, both active and retired, who desire the relaxed country lifestyle and the proximity of the city. Legacy Baptist Church is strategically positioned along Highway 79 (also known as Dover Road), the only major route west out of Clarksville. Recent housing developments along with a highway expansion program mean certain growth in the area. On April 28th, 2004 we purchased a 4,640 square foot building and strive to refinish the interior before the end of 2004. Legacy Baptist Church is poised on the edge of tomorrow but ministering to people today. We started meeting October 2001 in people’s homes for Bible study and began worship services April 7th, 2002. Visit our website at www.LegacyBaptist.org for more information and see what’s been happening lately. Better yet, come join us this Sunday at 10:00 am and “Worship the LORD with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs.” (Psalm 100:2)

Worship Times

  • SUNDAY
  • 10:00 am - Sunday morning is our only corporate worship time. The music portion of our service is a blend of contemporary and traditional songs, hymns, and praise choruses. We spend time sharing what God has done in our lives in a Time of Testimony. We take a significant amount of time in prayer as the Pastor leads through requests that have been made throughout the week during Bible studies. A member of the congregation reads the Scripture Reading that coincides with the sermon. After the sermon we close in a word of prayer and commitment. Tithes and Offerings are placed in a small basket in the back but visitors are not asked to give.

Church Ministries

Celebration & Dance Team

Being a member of Step By Step, the name of the team, means you are a part of something bigger than a dance team; you're part of a ministry team! Our purpose is to praise, honor, and glorify our Lord Jesus Christ through song and dance, and to lead others in worshiping Him. You do not have to have any dancing talent or ability to become a member of Step By Step. The only thing required is a commitment to doing your absolute best and a passion for glorifying God.

Childrens Church

We believe that children can worship God in a way that is both pleasing to Him and significant for the children. They worship together at the same time as the adults but in a different place in the building. The songs they sing, the messages they receive, and the prayers of these young worshippers are all designed to their level of undersanding.

Map & Driving Directions

Take Highway 79 (also known as Dover Road) west out of Clarksville toward Dover. Travel five miles past the Stewart/Montgomery County line. The church building is located on the south side of the highway. If you arrive at the intersection with Highway 120 you have gone about 1/4 mile too far. From Fort Campbell Main Post exit at Gate 10 (1A) via 101st Airborne Division Road (like you would head towards the Sportsman Lodge and Sabre Heliport). When you reach Highway 79 turn right and head west toward Dover.
