Southern Baptist Convention

First Baptist Church of Springfield is a church that wants to reach the neighborhoods and the nations. We're a multi-generational church where people come from different cultures and can worship in different languages, but we're united by faith in our one Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We're big enough as a church to offer a large variety of vital ministries, but we're a church where people really care about each other, can get to know each other, and can have a real sense of belonging. We're grounded in the truth of the Bible, as God’s Word given to us long ago, but we're open to new approaches to sharing this truth, without compromise, in our contemporary world. We are committed to helping people apply biblical truth in every sphere of life. We've been doing ministry for more than sixty years in Springfield, VA and the neighboring communities, but we have a vision of the new things God will keep on doing among us and through us. Some folks in our congregation have lived in Northern Virginia for a number of years and some for just a few months, but we have a place for everyone as we follow Jesus Christ together in the journey of faith--including you!
